When you look at someone what do you see? Do you see the wrinkles on their face, the dirt on their clothes, or the color of their skin? When you talk to people do you speak to them with love and a yearning to know them or as a good deed to check off your "I'm a good person" list?
Every being is a human being but we don't see things that way most times. I have been guilty of seeing people threw a narrow view before but is that how Jesus saw people? Rich or poor, needy or royalty they were all the same to Him in the fact that they were His children whom He loved.
When you look at a person do you see the joy on their face over an ice cream cone or the pain behind their eyes because they just lost a loved one? Do you know whence they came or where they've been? What about their life story do you know? What about their hurts, their illness, their gifting's or of their family? Or do you just see that homeless man on the side of the road that won't stop staring at you next to the corporate executive with the nice car and expensive suit on the phone?
See the person, know the person, love the person. We have all projected, we have all judged and been guilty at one time or another. We also know what it is like to be the judged so why would we ever want to make someone else feel the way we ourselves have felt?
See the beauty. Know the person. Love them well.
